Libraries and Add-Ons

The Modelica libraries available, both commercial and non-commercial, are collections of models that allow the user to easily build their own components or adapt existing ones to simulate the behavior of complex systems, covering multiple domains.

Libraries can have a general purpose, such as the Modelica Standard Library, containing basic models for all domains, or be specific to some domains, such as Automotive, Aerospace&Defense, Energy, Building&Process, Industrial Equipment.

All libraries listed can be provided by Dofware for use with Dymola, including technical support.

 


General Purpose

 

Modelica standard Library

With DYMOLA, the  Modelica Standard Library (MSL) forms the backbone of the environment. It contains about 3000 basic elements divided between components and functions.

The main sections are the following:

  • Cooling Library: To develop cooling systems and components, for batteries, electric drives and thermal management of electronic systems.
  • Fluid Power Library: To model and predict the behavior of hydraulic systems such as those of aircraft, cars, excavators and other types of machines.
  • Human Comfort Library: To estimate the comfort of the occupants in an air-conditioned area.
  • HVAC Library: To optimize the design and performance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
  • Thermal Systems Library: To optimize the design of large and complex thermodynamic systems.
  • Clara + Library: For the simulation of thermodynamic processes for the production of electrical energy using the Clausius Rankine cycles.
  • Fuel Cells Library: For modeling fuel cells for mobile and static applications.
  • Fluid Dynamics Library: For performing CFD calculations using coarse-grained mesh.

  • VeSyMA Library: The Vehicle System Modeling and Analysis library provides the resources and interfaces necessary for modeling and analyzing vehicle systems.
